Every year, a group of us rubber duck collectors get together and make a collaborative rubber duck themed calendar. For this year’s calendar, the above photo was submitted for the month of August. Ducks for Change is a fundraising initiative to support disadvantaged young people through the sale of novelty ducks in participating Hilton Worldwide Hotels across Europe. Hilton Vienna Danube recently challenged its team members to take any of the ducks to a “fancy” place and take a picture. The winning photo was taken in a Safari Park in Austria by team member Lena Sekerka. You gotta wonder what’s going though this little monkey’s head The ducks are part of the Ducks for Change series.

I first heard about this “Duckmato” from my friend Fuzzball. Since then, this picture has been featured all over the duck-o-sphere! In Spain, they call this little guy the “Pato Mato” (‘Pato’ meaning ‘duck’ in Spanish). I wonder…..does this duck float upright in the bath tub?
