Austroducks Visits NYC

It’s been six years since Duckshow met up with creator of the Austroducks, Rudolf Doppelbauer. My how time “flies!” Austroducks is a line of Austrian themed rubber ducks…. Mozart and Sigmund Freud are among the eleven different styles from the collection. But it doesn’t stop there. There are also socks, cufflinks and stick pins with the ducks on them. Rudolf, who hails from Salzburg, Austria was in town for a few days and we managed to meet up again!

What better place to catch up and talk ducks than a place with duck decor. Sugar Factory is a place that started in Vegas and they finally made their way to NYC. They even have a disco mirror ball ducks in the entrance.

Austroducks has come a long way and is continuing to grow in heaps! The ducks are sold in many gift shops around the world, online, and Julliard is also interested in selling the ducks in their gift shop!

I was so excited to get some duck-tacular gifts from Austroducks that I must share! First off, I was given this ridiculously awesome Mozart cupcake….or duckcake as I call it. It’s so super cool that I still haven’t brought myself to eat it!

Rudi also gave me this really nice shower curtain. It has the Austroducks on it:

Some fun duck socks:

Some Austroduck patches and duck-alicious candy (there was more of the candy but they were eaten before the photo, heehee):

Some super neato postcards:

Of course the meet up wouldn’t be complete without a photo in front of the duck background in front of the Sugar Factory:

It was SO MUCH FUN! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Austroducks! I know it will be ducking amazing! Click here to see the Austroducks website.
