“Why is the smile on Cheese duck positively beaming in this picture?” you might ask. It’s because Cheese is getting a picture taken with the one and only…one of a kind..metallic gold Mozart rubber duck from Austroducks. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the Austroducks line of rubber ducks, Austroducks creates rubber ducks inspired by famous Austrians. Some of those notable Austrians include Mozart, Sigmund Freud, and Gustav Klimt. And, this is just the beginning of the Austroducks creations. You see, Rudolf Doppelbauer….the creator and CEO of Austroducks is producing even more designs! I have see the designs….I can’t tell about the new designs because they are top secret….but I will say this….the ducks are going to be AmAzInG!!
I got the chance to hang out with Rudolf on his visit to NYC. He is an amazing soul. We exchanged a few gifts. He gave me one of his newest creations (Gustav Klimt duck), some Austroducks postcards, a program from the Gustav Klimt exhibit at the Neue Galerie New York (1048 Fifth Avenue, at 86th Street, (212) 628-6200, showing through June)….oh yeah…and a Mozartkugal confection only available in Salzburg….not shown because I already ate it
