Today is National Rubber Ducky (or Duckie) Day! January 13 is also Ernie from Sesame Street’s Rubber Ducky’s Birthday! Two amazing reasons to boogie down on rubber ducky day. Woot! Woot!
The rubber ducky gained huge popularity in the 1970′s with the creation of the Rubber Ducky song by Jim Henson. The song was created for Ernie, the popular character on Sesame Street who was always seen carrying his duck on the show. Quacky Birthday, rubber duckie!!
You should totally post this well before the day of. Being not a duck expert I completely did not know. On another note, I did receive four rubber duckies for Duck-(x)mas! Wheeeee!
