Another Rubber Duck World Record

As far as I know there are two rubber duck related world records in the Guinness Book…..#1. Charlotte Lee holds the world record for the largest rubber duck collection (well over 5, 000 rubber ducks!). #2. The Great British Duck Race holds the world record for the most ducks raced in a charity event (around 165,000 ducks were raced down the River Thames!).

Now there is another rubber duck related Guinness World record out there for…….the longest line of ducks in a row! With the help of 80 volunteers, Seattle startup company Cozi organized a mile-long chain of 17,782 rubber ducks in Seattle’s Magnuson Park on Sunday. It was declared a world record by a Guinness World Record adjudicator. You can learn more about Cozi and see how they help people get their “ducks in a row”  here.

I can only imagine how long this must have taken to set up and clean up! I wonder who was the “lucky duck” who got the task of counting all those ducks? I do know this…Seattle loves rubber ducks. How do I know? Let me give you a hint…..Duckfest Seattle! But more on that later…….

You know they're all just doing the samba, right? "Quack quack quack quack qua-QUACK, quack quack quack quack qua-QUACK…"

(Oh, Duckfest. I hope I can afford to attend.)

Ah, I hope you can come out! It would be so nice to meet you! It's going to be an expensive one for me, too! I'm traveling clear across the country ;)
